The Story Behind You’re on God’s Time:

You’re On God’s Time was born out of a simple conversation with my husband about those heavy, sluggish days when it’s hard to get moving…physically, mentally, and spiritually. In talking, the idea emerged: what if rhythm and rhyme could help shift that state? What if a simple phrase, paired with truth, could become a reset we could actually feel? And it became solidified…let’s use neuroplasticity and music!

Out of that conversation came a deeper realization that we’re not just drifting through our days. We’re called, purposed, and already “on the clock” for God.

This song was written to bring those ideas together: a rhythmic, rhyming reminder that helps move the body while refocusing the mind and spirit. Rooted in themes of endurance, discipline, and keeping your eyes on Jesus, it encourages listeners to lay down distractions, shake off heaviness, and step forward with intention.

More than just a song, You’re On God’s Time is meant to be a tool, effectively a way to interrupt sluggishness, align with truth, and re-engage with the purpose God has set before us.

Bible Verses & Biblical Themes in You’re on God’s Time:

  • Hebrews 12:1-2 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
  • Philippians 3:13-14 “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
  • 2 Timothy 2:4 “No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.”
  • 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.”
  • James 1:12 “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”
  • Matthew 25:23 “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’”
  • Daniel 12:3 “And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.”
