The Story Behind We Shout We Sing:
We Shout We Sing was born out of an unexpected connection through an online worship ministry called Red’s Room Entertainment, hosted by Red Stainbrook. Rob Reed and I were scheduled to play on the same night, and after hearing each other’s music, we felt led to connect and write together. Though we live about 500 miles apart in California, we decided to try co-writing together through video chat.
I came to the session with a song partially written, and Rob graciously helped bring it to completion by writing the second verse and collaborating on the structure and flow of the song. Not long after, I happened to be visiting his area and was invited to guest lead worship at his church. That morning, we played We Shout We Sing for the very first time — and it was also the first time we had ever played music together in person. It was a powerful and joy-filled moment of unity and worship that confirmed God’s hand in the song.
Though we talked about recording it soon after, life unfolded as it often does, and the song waited quietly for its time. Years later, God opened the door for it to finally be recorded.
Written with corporate worship in mind, We Shout We Sing is a declaration of who God is and a call for the Church to lift unified praise to Jesus — to listen for His truth, surrender fully, and glorify the Name by which we are saved.

- Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
- Acts 2:42 “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”
- Psalm 134:2 “Lift up your hands to the holy place and bless the Lord!”

- Psalm 150:1–6 “Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!”
- Philippians 2:9–11 “Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
- Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

- Romans 12:1–2 “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
- Psalm 25:4–5 “Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”
